Biography
Lydia Knox is a fine art painter and illustrator located in the Bruce Peninsula, Ontario. Influenced by Emily Carr, Edvard Munch, Van Gogh, Edward Gorey, and the pre-Raphaelites as well as fairy and folk tales. Her aim is to produce a mystical version of reality. Her work has been shown in various galleries both in the Bruce Peninsula and in Toronto, Canada.
She is concerned about the fragility of nature, and weaves that concern into her work. Profoundly, she holds this in her heart: ART IS MAGIC
Nature is magic, writing is magic, communicating with your muse: pure magic. When you're in that creative zone, you're taken far from the concerns and trifles of mundane life.
She enjoys spending time in her studio, with her three trusty hounds and her ever supporting husband.
