About Anthony Lusignan

My name is Anthony Lusignan I am a landscape oil painter from Edmonton Alberta. I find nature to be mystical and beautiful and I paint almost anything nature related. Everything I paint comes from inside my head and I sometimes personify nature to represent something or someone in my life. Often my dreams are a source of inspiration, I've always believed that within the dreamworld lyes the window to the imagination. When I was young I spent a lot of my free time within nature's mystical beauty, drawing and listening to the trees whisper and imagining the mysterious world around me often dozing off. I have spent many years playing with different styles and techniques attempting to create a style that brings the mystical dreamy feel through all of my works. I truly believe that a great piece of Art takes a connection to the soul, vision and passion to express it and hard work to make people believe it. I often spend weeks on a painting until I feel I've achieved exactly what I envisioned. Some of my other passions in life include ancient philosophy, modern physics and almost any type of instrumental music which usually in one way or another directly influences my artworks. To me each painting is a journey that helps me sort out the world around me.
