Biography

I am a professional artist for over 35 years. Since I was a child my teachers saw my skill for drawing. I attended the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon. In order to study the Old Masters I visited several museums in London, New York, Brussels, Antwerp, Paris, Madrid, Rome, including Rubens House, Rembrandt House and Ingres Museum among others. My artworks are original oil painting on canvas or on panel. My still life paintings are full of light, volume and smoothness giving the perception as if the painted objects were really there. The painting is finished when I feel I am painting over the object.
