Event: Guildford House Open - 2023

This exhibition is the culmination of the Guildford House Open Competition. This new annual art competition and exhibition was highlighting outstanding artistic talent. Showcasing up to 100 works selected from 1000 submissions in the best in contemporary art.
Biography
I'm Agnieszka Lokaj, artistic alias LJagz, originally from Poland but now based in London. I started my artistic journey 10 years ago when I took some art classes in life drawing and oil painting at Richmond Adult College.
My art is fueled by the subject of transformation - how we change as humans and how we are affected by our environment.
I am constantly experimenting with new techniques and styles, always on the lookout for fresh ways to convey my ideas. I find immense joy in the process of discovery and experimentation. In my paintings, you'll find a blend of bold, dynamic brushstrokes and expressive paint drips, balanced by rhythmic patterns, scratches, and mark-making using a palette knife.
