My name is Liudmyla Davydenko, a Ukrainian artist from Lviv, specializing in associative abstract painting and sculpture.
For me, art is a profound exploration of life's many-layered beauty—a way to capture the fragility and vibrancy of existence. Each piece I create is inspired by the dynamic balance between reality and imagination, movement and stillness, and the delicate harmony of our terrestrial macro- and microcosm. This "betweenness" is what drives me: I am continually moved to convey the elegance and resilience of life’s constant transformation through my unique artistic voice.
Since 1996, my career has evolved through exhibitions, awards, and solo shows both in Ukraine and internationally, and I have worked tirelessly to develop and refine my technique in two primary forms: "Painting" and "Sculpture." Over the years, I’ve held more than 20 solo exhibitions in various cultural hubs, including Kyiv, Lviv, Zurich, Paris, and Basel.
These solo shows have provided a deep connection with audiences, allowing me to express my evolving concepts in both familiar and foreign spaces and to witness firsthand the universal impact of my abstract, associative works.
Each exhibition becomes a dialogue between my art and its viewers, reinforcing my desire to create and share. Each series I create—whether "Rhizome," with its pulsating, endless lines; "Head," a journey into human emotion; "Isopleths," capturing nonlinear connections; or "Synergistic," exploring self-organization and hope amidst chaos—represents a different facet of my experience and perspective as an artist.
My approach is grounded in a dedication to ongoing discovery, where each line or shape I draw brings me closer to a new understanding.
