About Lisa Bartlett

  • Biography

Lisa Bartlett is a painter of nature and wild life. “I am an outdoor person and an animal lover, which I hope is portrayed in my work. I am excited by colour and each painting is a new journey, I never really know quite where it will take me until I finish. I play with paint to discover colour, texture and light. I explore to find colours that bring a picture to life.”

“I mainly work in oil as I love the richness of the colour and the soft texture it can create. My paintings are Impressionistic and painterly, as for me I like to see the marks and different depths  am a predominately self taught artist With each brush stroke and mark making tool, I aim to capture the character, the essence of the form, the place, and the surroundings.
Working mainly in oils, my paintings are illustrative and Painterly. I am fascinated by colour and the illumination created by light.  I love to explore the life and movement In whatever l paint.
