Biography
Lisa's love of art firmly rooted in her early teens, following a very serious head injury as the result of an RTA. She sustained extensive brain damage and had to learn how to speak, eat, walk, etc all over again. Art was a lifeline - squiggles became doodles became sketches... a crucial way to communicate and express herself.
Prior to COVID and lockdown, Lisa's work was primarily finger painted acrylic skies and Space, with the latter earning her critical acclaim and a large following, with work being regularly shipped to the USA, Canada and Australia. She headlined some prominent Space Art exhibitions. Whilst she still occasoionally creates her Nebula Art, Lisa has increasingly returned to Abstract Art, her first love. Her abstract pieces are eclectic, but unmistakably hers, with a distinct application of textures, patterns and layering.
Her work sells through galleries, shows, and also online. She undertakes regular Commission work, loving the opportunity to create something special for her clients. Previous commissions undertaken include a retirement space piece for an astrophysicist and 2 paintings for display in a prominent European observatory.
