About Lisa Davies

I am an artist/illustrator living and working in the UK. 

I have always been very passionate about painting and drawing from a very young age. I used to love looking through picture books as a child and dreamed of being the person who drew the pictures....that passion remains with me to this day. 

I studied illustration for 5 years in total, gaining a HND in wildlife illustration from Dyfed college of art and then a BA Hons in illustration from Plymouth university. I then gained a PGCE in art education. 

After spending 18 years bringing up my family, I finally came back to working full time as an artist in 2012. I work very regularly on private commissions and have sold many of my canvases privately. I love working in many mediums....acrylics and mixed media, watercolours and graphite being my favourites. I love creating fun, happy, bright, colourful, work that brings a smile to your face every time you look at it. I enjoy taking inspiration from the everyday things in life...the simple pleasures.......the first time you put your washing on the line in the spring.....a cat sleeping in the flower bed.... I love life and I hope that this shows through in my paintings.
