About Linda Mooney
Biography
My body of work is called: IMAGES THAT EXCITE THE SENSES. All of my art is made using oil on canvas.
The largest influences in my art are Van Gogh, Monet, and Cezanne. As a teen, I spent many days roaming at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Moma in NYC, where I lived in my early through teenage years.
I am a life long student utilizing all resources available and have studied with
many painting instructors, wonderful artists kind enough to share their talents and knowledge with me.
I pour my life experiences and learned skills into the crucible to transmute them into my personal style of painting. Using bold strokes, bright colors, and pallet knife I strive to create visualy energetic and emotionally strong paintings.
My goal in painting is to express and create a sense of place, energy, and joy somewhere one can dive into and stay for a while.
