    Starting a large commission piece

    This video shows how I create the first layers of a commissioned painting. It is a large piece, 130 x 160cm therefore I use a canvas that is stretched on aluminium stretchers to avoid warping.

    My paintings are all built up with many layers of opaque and transparent oil paint mixed with cold wax. Here I put another layer. More layers to come...

    Finishing an oil & cold wax painting

    I finish all my oil & cold wax paintings with one or two layers of pure cold wax. It protects the oil painting and gives it a soft mat sheen. In this video I demonstrate this.
