About Linda Skoglund

  • Biography

Linda Skoglund is a Swedish London based artist with a love for colour and the creative process. After training as a Visual Artist in Sweden for 3 years she went on to study Art & Design Foundation and BA in Visual Communication in London and have been a practicing artist and creative facilitator ever since.

Part of the working process is in finding the essence of the subject. The work is often simplified in the drawing stages by taking away unnecessary information. Using the medium that best suits the work to convey a message and meaning; watercolour for its immediacy, oil paints for its luminosity and screen-printing for its technical challenges and minimalist qualities. Early influences include the surrealists and the expressionist painters and colours are still the most important factor in the creation of the works.

“Life’s a Circus” is an ongoing exploration of a dreamy reality, of enhancing the experience of being and the experience of life. Life is a circus so you may as well have fun; be the best you can be, freely and fully explore life and the connections that are made along the way. The “Battersea” prints was selected for the “ Battersea Art Station” exhibition 2015 shown at BAC together with 450 pieces of works. She regularly takes on commissions for art events, businesses and individuals alike where she works closely with the commissioner to ensure a satisfying outcome.
