About Liliia Bakanova

  • Biography

I have volunteered as an artist at nursery homes, where I got to understand the importance of non-visual art. Apart from working with smells and sound, I also utilize tactile experiences to evoke long-forgotten emotions in my audience.

I mostly live in the countryside, where I am drawing constant inspiration from the beauty of nature, decaying wood, diverse textures and the sound of water. The tactile surface of my sculptures and wall objects is aimed to slow down the viewer. This deceleration focuses on the time flow, which is shown as decay, transformation and constant but barely seen change.

Explore my sensory abstract art to rekindle memories and emotions through a truly immersive artistic journey.
