About Lidija Miklavcic

Three things that I like the most. Writing, playing with paint and stitching. With my face paintings I did just found the way to include all my favourite things on one piece of paper.

Usually I start with a story, it's like journal page story of what happen or something I dream off, my wishes, my whispers...then I cover all that text with paint and somehow the emotions from the story could be seen on the face.

For my chary pie I doodle stitch and I get a new layer of interested graphic - nature shapes. At the end of my process I'm always surprised with what is seen from behind of my papers. A new story that is always fun and full of life.

 
Painting give me a power to feel alive and to forget all the rest of the life that is waiting on me.
