  • Biography
    Leonid Stroganov is a graphic designer and book illustrator, was born in 1979 in Leningrad, USSR (presently Saint Petersburg, Russia).

    He graduated both from the Art College named after Nicholas Roerich in 1999 and the Institute of Applied Art in 2002 with the excellent marks. Since same year he has been a member of the Union of Artists of Russia. He was tutored in etching and engraving by famous artists Alexander Durandin and Oleg Yahnin and also trained in Institute of Tamarind (USA) in 2006.

    Currently he is a free-lance artist, successfully performing in the graphic art and book design fields and has been teaching since 2005. Stroganov has been creating bookplates since 2000 and since that time he has made about a hundred bookplates up on private orders across the world.

    He has been an exhibitor into International Congresses of Ex-Libris FISAE since 2002.
    Leonid Stroganov was a medalist of the National Festival of Graphic Arts and a special prize winner of competition of young artists (House of graphic Art, Moscow, 2008).

    The works of Leonid now can be found in The Hermitage Library and Public Library of Saint-Petersburg (Russia), The Boston Public Library (USA), State Museum of Vologda (Russia), Museum of Modern Graphic in Sint-Niklaas (Belgium), in private collections of Europe and United States.
