Laura Segatori is an Italian painter of remarkable talent and versatility. She works in a highly mimetic style, which is my preference. Recently, I purchased from her a small painting of an exquisite orange tiger kitten peeking out from behind a tiny peach-colored satin drape. Every detail is rendered perfectly while the wide-eyed kitten herself is so beautiful that I want to lift her out of the picture and adopt her. I have already commissioned another painting from this descendant of Caravaggio.
