About Kevin Harper

Being creative is the thing that makes me happiest. I was brought up in an artistic/maker household, so it's always been a part of my life.

What I admire most about the artists I like is their ability to start from a simple idea or set of self-made rules, and then to develop them, following a creative path.

I'm ready to use any medium to translate an idea into reality. I could end up producing anything, from a figurative oil painting to a conceptual installation.

I'm currently producing abstract watercolours, as a follow on to my Art Noir hybrid story on Instagram. Search there for 'Aartworksee' (2 'A's) to find out more. It features photography, story telling, painting and video to speculate about a dystopian society where art is banned. Unfortunately, this is still a reality for artists in some parts of the world.
