    Photographed on my workbench, this design was originally intended as a demonstration artwork for workshops. The glowing sky and simple, though neat composition seems to spark an emotional reaction with many people.

    I took this photo as I neared the end of carving the key block for my 'Hay Meadow Hush' print. You can see the graphite lines on the linoleum from where I drew the image directly onto the block. I used two U gouges to carve this block over the course of several days.
