A month soaking in Tavira's charms, I could have easily stayed longer.

Straddling the Gilão River, it's wading flamingos, tidal flows and azulejo adorned cafes keep things mellow. 'Tavira' drying in the sun.

That soft light over the bay, morning swims with the locals, honey soaked treats eaten outside in the sun.

Reminiscing a winter month spent in Kalamata. The people welcomed us with such kindness and trust, an open invitation into their community. It's an emotive journey into this canvas, a remembering of a time and a place.

Some would have big windows and some none at all, but we'd swap flour for eggs and we'd share laundry lines

This piece takes inspiration from our current need for togetherness. There would be squabbles and joys, but we'd be there, living together. It's about living together. A geometric, organic impression painted on Corsica Island, where mountain village communities continue to subsist.

Ano Poli, a quirky mix of historical and ottoman architecture and hip new-age vibes. A place weaving in and out of eras that somehow remains timeless. The lines of the buildings and pavement stones tracing the years. Cropped above the city, with views over the Thermaic Gulf and the Aegean Sea, unfinished, uncut and real.

Undercurrents and creatures that turn magic into spells.

Undercurrents and creatures that turn magic into spells.

Those that take to the water may see stingrays, jellyfish, sea urchins and eels. As I come to understand these creatures, my heart pounds a little less each time. The depths of the sea invigorate and remind me to stay brave. A semi-abstract seascape painting, using teal, royal blue and pumpkin. Corsica Island studio.

'Periwinkles' he said, as I looked into his bucket.

On the edge of the tideline I could just make out the silhouette of a man kneeling amongst the rocks with a bucket at his side. In my bare feet, I walked slowly over the barnacle covered rocks towards the man and his dog. Curiosity and nostalgia sending me his way. A semi-abstract seascape, painted over looking the sea using periwinkle blue and mint green. Stay tuned!

Do you long for the freedom of the coast's endless horizon? I do!

A vibrant painting inspired by Corsica's coastal landscapes and the enveloping seaside.

'It was the Sea Cloud that I saw that early morning...' Orizzonte painting in progress, Corsica Island

'It was the Sea Cloud that I saw that early morning...' Orizzonte painting in progress, Corsica Island

Only the cormorants and I saw its sails tucked in tightly and the glow of the masthead light. The seagrass said nothing, the red granite sat still, as it had for millennia. As I watched, desiring to share the moment, the sun peaked out and said good morning. And into the horizon, the Sea Cloud vanished. Corsica painting in progress in studio.
