About Keith Alexander

  • Biography
Living and working in Teesdale, high in the North Pennines and close to the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it is impossible not to be influenced by the special nature of this landscape – open  moorland and beautiful dales.  This is the habitat for a range of distinctive birds such as the Curlew, Lapwing, Red Legged Partridge and the Greater Spotted Woodpecker which have to co-exist with farming, quarrying and the weather.

Having previously worked as a woodcarver and a stone carver, it is natural that it is lino-printing and the carving process that I am primarily drawn to.  Each design is printed in a limited edition of 30 but in reality because of the processes used each individual print is subtly different and unique.  All my prints are mounted and made to fit standard size frames to make it as easy as possible for you to get your print on the wall of your home.
