About Katy Luneva

  • Biography
Creating art has been my lifelong passion. I graduated from art school and earned a degree in graphic design, eventually becoming an art director in marketing. Throughout my career, I never stopped drawing, working on murals and installations, and leading art projects for different spaces. Now, I am fully dedicated to painting and sculpture.
At the moment, I live in Mexico, in a picturesque region called Oaxaca. I held my first exhibition here, which turned out to be very successful. I met a lot of wonderful and interesting people.
We see the world differently, and often the perspective of another person expands the boundaries and perspective of our own vision. I hope that my paintings resonate in people's souls; with my art, I want to help each person find their way home: to their true and pure self.

Event: Let the Sky of Oaxaca Follow You

    Dates: 17 Jul 2024 - 22 Aug 2024

Venue: Matamoros 404, Oaxaca de Juarez

The sky is an inexhaustible source of inspiration. Everyday it changes its house, from the soft pink of dawn to the deep dark blue of sunset. The sky is a canvas on which new masterpieces are continuously created. Layered clouds dance against the backdrop of mountains, creating unique compositions. I stand under this sky and feel each ray of light penetrating my soul, filling it with creative energy. The sky is alive; it breathes and changes with every moment. I see bright colors intertwining, creating a harmony of tone and contrast. Each painting in the series reflects the state of the sky at that moment—layered, colorful, and diverse. I want to convey this profound silence, the grandeur, tranquility, and strength of the sky to those who seek these qualities within themselves. I hope that everyone finds within themselves the balance eternally present in the sky.
