My name is Katsiaryna Ozdemir.
I am a professional artist based in Istanbul, Turkey. My paintings are completely original and each piece is unique.
Also, I’m selling prints on paper and canvas.
I have my own studio room in my flat in Istanbul where I paint on everyday basis.
My art is based on the idea of returning harmony to the human soul. I strive to ensure that my art gives optimism, hope and inspiration. My paintings represent the practice of returning to yourself, to your essence after a long and difficult journey.
My work is autobiographical. I work with people who I care about and who I think about. I am painting emotions and feelings, thoughts and memories evoked by the object.
I strive to make a person the center of my creativity. With my work, I try to reflect the idea that creativity can bring back the deep meaning of human existence.
Sometimes I create sketches in advance, work on the composition and the idea of my future work. Sometimes I create a composition gradually, based on random chaotic color spots of paint on a canvas, and combine them into a single composition and plot. When I paint intuitively without any plan for what the finished piece will be, allowing instinct to guide the creative process. Acting and reacting to the stroke of color. This encourages my mood, interest, and love of color to be reflected in my work. Then I refine the details, the ideas of which appear gradually, one after another, appear in the picture.
I enjoy working with oil and acrylic paints using both classic and contemporary techniques and my work most always has a reference to people or objects of my life.
I've been doing art since early childhood and I can't imagine a single day without it. I painted a lot, received an art education, and then an architectural education. But in the end, painting took over and became my main profession. Education helps from a practical and theoretical point of view.
Although I have attended advanced training courses in the field of arts and painting by Belarusian and Turkish artists, my style is my own having formed over many years, maturing, as I have, in technique, emotion, and expression.
I live by creativity and I want my works to be available to a wide range of people around the world.
