  • Opening of the personal exhibition at the Gallery of NLB Bank, Belgrade

    Authentic in her artistic intentions, a great drawer and colourist, Katarina Nedeljković transforms the experiences of the traditionalism into works of noble facture and captivating atmosphere. She transposes the strong emotion inherent to every human being to paintings of big formats in which the main protagonists are people, to images of nude human bodies which, although divested of the materialistic, proudly carry the atmosphere of the painting and show great selfconfidence and strong attitude. The intimist approach as well as the play of the light and the shadows result in the feeling that the artist’s universe – her nudes are stopped in their love game. However, her paintings often speak of social issues, although the emphasis is always on pleasure of creation and manner of painting… In touch with the modern times, Katarina implements the achievements of the modern technology, exploring the influence of the technology and the media on human minds and communication.
