Anniversary exhibition of works by the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Karakhan Seferbekov was opened at the permanent representation of Dagestan in Moscow.
"Various thematic exhibitions of Dagestan artists are regularly held within the walls of the permanent mission. This has become a kind of tradition.

On April 21-25, 2021, old and new art meet in Gostiny Dvor.
“Living together” is the motto of the event, where all spheres of collecting will be presented in a single space of Gostiny Dvor im Moscow.
Program Art Moscow / 46 The Russian Antique Salon popularizes the Living together format, where a large-scale exposition covers all areas of collecting, erasing genre and time boundaries. Sections "Antiques", "Contemporary Art / Design", "Jewelry Art" and - new - "Retro cars" fill the space of the grand fair in Gostiny Dvor. There are at least four reasons why the event is interesting for both the professional and the general public.
The exhibition concept, combining classic and modern, was not invented yesterday - it is successfully implemented by such giants in the world of art fairs as TEFAF and BRAFA.
Event: 'Russia to the World' dedicated to the 100-th anniversary of Dagestan

Solo- exhibition 'Russia to the World' dedicated to the 100-th anniversary of Dagestan, that is held with the support of the Moscow Government, the Department of National Policy and Interregional Relations of Moscow, the Moscow House of Nationalities State Budgetary Institution.
The exhibition presents about forty canvases of different periods and different genres.
Among them there are plein air artworks from the cycle 'Autumn Moscow', with images of the majestic Cathedral of St. Basil, Kremlin, Moscow streets Varvarka and Ilyinka in the center , sketches of the China-Town in Moscow, landscapes of autumn Izmailovo, as well as the Moscow region and Suzdal.
For the first time, the artist presents six pleinair artworks painted in Dagestan mountains this autumn.
The exposition "The Relict Forest of Samur" widely presents paintings of southern Dagestan.

Biography
Academist - Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Arts (2016)
Honoured Artist of RF (Awarded the title Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation in 2001)
Karakhan Seferbekov was born in 1957 in Dagestan, on the shores of the Caspian Sea. He was educated in Moscow. In 1980 he graduated from the graphic arts faculty of the State Pedagogical Institute in Moscow. He studied painting with leading professors of the Russian Academy.
The artist works in the style of expressionism. Member of the Moscow Union of Artists. Karakhan Seferbekov began exhibition activities in 1982 and he is a regular participant at Russian and international exhibitions in Europe, India, the USA, China and other countries.
In 1994 the artwork of Karakhan Seferbekov was awarded the Grand Prix de Peinture du Castellet (Paris, France). As part of a group of prominent artists from Russia he participated in an exhibition held in 1998 in several European cities, Paris, Brussels and Berlin, and was awarded the diploma of this exhibition.
In December 1999 his solo exhibition ‘At the Turn of the Century’ took place in Moscow under the auspices of the International Confederation of Artists’ Unions. In 2001 he was awarded the title Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation for the series of Tibetan works included in many Russian and foreign catalogues.
According to the results of a personal exhibition in 2004, Karakhan Seferbekov was enrolled among the permanent residents of the Paris workshops Cité internationale des Arts in Paris. Every year Karakhan Seferbekov holds several solo exhibitions in Moscow.
After many years working as an artist Karakhan Seferbekov has produced thousands of paintings that now adorn galleries and private collections in Russia, France, Germany, Italy, Austria, Holland, Finland, Sweden, the USA, the United Arab Emirates, India, China, Japan, Australia, Thailand, Vietnam and other countries.
The works of Karakhan Seferbekov are included in the collections of the Russian Academy of Arts, the Cultural Centre for the Arts in Paris Cité Internationale des Arts, the Urusvati Institute of Himalayan Studies in India, the Han Jianmin Sino-Russian Picture Gallery (now a branch of the International Academy of Culture and Arts) in Harbin (China), the foundation of the Centre for the Science and Culture of Bulgaria in Sofia, the Art Fund of the city of Kutaisi in Georgia, the International Fund for the Promotion of Art in Moscow, the Museum of Local History in Derbent, the Akhtynsky Museum of Local Lore in Dagestan, the Enlightenment Fund of Dagestan and the Yaroslavl Art Museum.
