About Jutta Rika Bressem

I studied painting and design at the Academy of Design in Wiesbaden and graduated with a MFA. Since then I work as a professional artist and lives on the coast of the Northern Sea in Germany. I am a member of the Professional Association of Visual Artists and regularly take part in national and international exhibitions (America, Japan, Italy, France, Poland, Switzerland, and in many German cities). My works can be classified in the tradition of the Informel as modern, expressive, and intuitive art. They resist the all too easy interpretations or prejudices against the non-objective. The nature of my expressive painting comes from the feeling and the momentary mood and encompasses the broad theme of a naturalistic tendency. This is reflected in my ability to use forms, colors, and lines to their best visual advantage and to create a composition from these elements.
