  • Biography
    Julie Arbuckle is a landscape artist from Glasgow. A deep love of dramatic and mountainous areas is reflected in her paintings, which are also influenced by changing light and weather particular to Scotland. A hill wanderer ar heart, Julie will venture deep into the hills, sometimes for days at a time, in  order to fully immerse herself in the environment and increase her connection with the places she visits.

    Solo exhibition - artwork featuring the mountains and coastline around the Gairloch area, plus geologically inspired work.

    In the Artist's first solo show outside Glasgow, Julie brings here atmospheric work celebrating Scotland's diverse landscape to the Capital for the month of August 2014.
    In addition to expressive landscape paintings of the Scottish Highlands, Julie has produced four special works which connect the City of Edinburgh to the landscape it sits within.

    Venue: The Trades Hall of Glasgow, 85 Glassford St, Glasgow G1 1UH

    Organised in conjunction with The Studio: Fine Art Company, this year’s Exhibition will include Contemporary Scottish Artwork by the likes of Peter Howson through to Gerard Burns and will vary in price from £150 to £100,000

    Venue: The Glasgow Art Club, 185 Bath Street, Glasgow, G2 4HU

    Top Scottish artists such as Hazel Nagl, Emma Davis, Mhairi McGregor, Marion Drummond, James Davis, Robert Mulhern, Hamish Montgomery and Jason Pyper Davis will be exhibiting and there will also be a sparkling show of miniatures and small works.
