Event: Top Secret
Dates: 14 Apr 2023 - 28 Apr 2023
Top secret means something that is covered by the most absolute secretness and nobody external can understand, it’s something that can’t be revealed. There are code messages that are used to pass information that non-receivers can’t understand. An intriguing theme for this exhibition of contemporary art where the participant artists can interpret based on a personal point of view. The use of secret codes is part of the human history, in the communication between special relationships. The artist is privileged since they can express emotions and thoughts that only can be understood by few people. Most of the paintings that are part of our history of art hide, between drawings and colors, secret codes that since always ignite the interest of the historians and lovers of mystery. In this exhibition we will see how the participants interpret this theme through their artistic creations.

Biography
Yulia Dunko is a visual artist born in Belarus. Currently lives and works in Warsaw.
Painting is what started her career as an artist. Feelings and reason are inextricably linked in her work. Reflecting on her work and modernizing it, she went to a new metamodernist paradigm. In her artwork, she explores space: the past is the future, the future is the past, creating breathtaking abstract paintings that explore the possibilities of minimalist composition, creating a new illusion of perception.
Each picture is built in layers with a fine artistic proportion of forms, a sketch of which she initially creates on a graphics tablet. Her paintings are stunning minimalism, with a sparse composition that grabs the viewer's attention, with bright contrasting accents. The contrast of the accent with the surrounding space creates a sense of depth and volume. Golden lines of gold and shadows from them on a white background, which she performs in the sfumato technique. This technique, which blends colors and creates soft, hazy edges, enhances the painting's ability to evoke a sense of space and distance, for warm memories of the past. As Julia says, for this she uses white paint with gold. All this gives the product additional interest, mystery, and delicacy, attracting the attention of the viewer and involving him in the composition. The shimmering effect of gold gives the picture a dynamic and creates a sense of movement, energy, and adds an extra layer of elegance and sophistication to the composition.
Overall, the painting seems to refer to both the past and the future, with elements that evoke a sense of timelessness and hint at the possibilities that lie ahead. The delicate and nuanced choice of color suggests a sense of fragility and evanescence, while the contrasting emphasis and use of shadows and light give the painting a sense of energy and movement. These are thought-provoking and captivating works of art that invite the viewer to contemplate both the beauty and complexity of the world around them.
Julia had a craving for art from early childhood, she devoted her whole life to creativity. The professional development of her creative path began with a comprehensive school with an artistic bias, then with a college major in art and graphic design. After she studied at Vitebsk University. P. M. Masherov in the birthplace of Marc Chagall was a teacher of fine arts and computer graphics. Since 2011, she has been teaching fine arts at the School of Art for 6 years, combining her activities as a professional artist.
Her paintings are presented in online and offline galleries. Julia participates in joint exhibitions, and auctions in Europe and the CIS. The paintings are in private collections in Belarus, Poland, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Switzerland, Russia, Saudi Arabia, and Latin America.
