“Jonas Peres creates 'Pop Mystic'; reincarnates the unlikely fusion between Mark Rothko and Andy Warhol” —NewArts/CP

Jonas Peres is a Spanish visual artist and designer based in Madrid, Spain; trained at CalArts, Los Angeles, CA

    ● About his work:

Jonas Peres lives in a cosmically beautiful world. His creations exude energy and enthusiasm. The bright colors play with the mysterious light of the sunsets and the sunrises. The sea, the sky, the day and the night invade the viewer in a hypnotizing desire to look; the more you look, the more you see. A call to positivity, inner peace and a sense of clarity.

"Much of my work is based on the infinite emotional ways in which I feel the sea, the coast and the beach." —Jonas Peres

Influenced by the New York School, the art of Jonas Peres is imbued with the exciting color pop of Andy Warhol without abandoning the transcendent magnetism of Mark Rothko. In this gallery he presents three of his most successful series: “Summer Pop”; "Infinity Night" and "Horizon"

    ● Creative process:

Each original work is developed by a set of creative processes where modern media merge with classic media creating a harmonious relationship between past and future. Ideas arise from memories, from moments of fulfillment, or from emotional images. Each original work is studied and worked with advanced graphic editors to create the ideal artistic composition; Finally, the physical execution of each work is done using inks, pigments, resins, and varnishes that are applied to cotton canvas or museum-quality fine art paper.
