About John Harne

I have always created art, in fact I was in the tradional gallery system for a period of years 1977 to 1992. Back in the 1980's I became a part of the art community of NYC's lower east side. I started storyboarding for added income and that eventually became very successful. I started creating and directing commericials, but as they say, "the spark never dies". I was what I call "an unhappily but financially successful creative" so I left creative direction and began to again to rediscover my love of painting and imagery in 2019. I have been focusing my creative efforts on painting subjects all around me. I am currently working on a series of birds native to my region on the rural coast of Florida. Part of my process is to study the subjects, sketch on site and take it all back to my studio. I want to sell my original paintings and let people know that I blessed to doing this.
