About Joseph Charman
Biography
Joe started painting early in life and has not stopped painting since.
He loves to paint a wide diversity of subject matter, but has in recent years focused on London as a subject, selling his London paintings at Greenwich Arts & Crafts Market.
Joe's inspiration for painting London emanates from the many years he spent working and driving in the city, also gigging with with bands in London's pubs and clubs, and alltoooften enjoying the city's social life.
Countless late-night journeys through the city acquainted Joe with London's architectural backdrop and set the tone for his London street scenes.
SInce relocating to Dorset in 2020, Joe is now busy working on his "South Coast Series"
