    My job working for an art materials manufacturer sometimes takes me to some pretty awesome places. During the Plein Air Convention and Expo in Denver I had the opportunity to hack out a little gouache painting in El Dorado State Park. I only had one hour before my colleagues wanted to grab dinner so there was no time to get fussy. Paint what you see and don't over think it.

    For Christmas my wife gave me a weekend painting trip with my friend and fellow artist Bruce, in Hillsdale, NY at the foot of the Berkshire Mountains. In spite of the very cold temperatures we painted outside and had a wonderful time. Three of the paintings I created that weekend can be seen here on Artfinder.
