About Jeremy Burns
Biography
I often use angular shapes and shadows in my work to suggest movement, space and ambiguity. Cubism and Futurism are strong influences, and really anything visual or audible that you can get a bit lost in. I take a lot of inspiration from electronic music, which can sound three dimensional, and almost tangible, with complex networks of entangled melodies and drum patterns constantly interchanging. For me, this is comparable with imagery that's visually a little unclear or even cluttered, which can come to life with emerging forms, shifting as the brain tries to make sense of it.
