About Jérémie Iordanoff
Biography
Where things escape - if only partially - from their formulation, there is freedom, there is a breath. The enjoyment of the eye forces the eye to linger. We try to discern, we try to understand. But a painting is a physical object on which the mind stumbles. I start without knowing the way. I paint without draft, by superimposing thin layers or by juxtaposing freehand lines. I paint mainly with oil because it takes time. The time required for the slow maturation of images. Watching takes time.
