About Jane Moore

As an Artist I am inspired by many things, mostly in Nature.  I grew up in Africa, where I fell in love with Wildlife in general and Big Cats in particular! I also have a fascination with the beauty and grace of horses, especially Arabians. I mainly work in Oils or Pencil but also Acrylic and Water color occasionally. As a Portrait Painter I concentrate on capturing the spiritual essence of the subject within a Realist framework. In my own personal work  I often combine reality with imagination and paint whatever evokes an emotional response from me. Although influenced by the feel and mood of the subject I am painting, my overall style is quite graphic and contemporary with bold, bright colours often in evidence. There is so much that is depressing in the modern world that I generally prefer to create work that celebrates the beauty and brightness instead!
