My work on canvas, paper and Mylar captures an imaginary moment of time. The work strives not to be obvious at first and the viewer can slowly, with patience, find meaning. Figures, animals and their environments interact with abstract elements that fuse a narrative of fantasy and reality. Many of my mixed media pieces incorporate photo collage elements in an additive, seamlessly layered process with expressionistic painted surfaces and textured color.
