Biography
It is colour which drives my work. Contrasting or toning, I love to explore the effect colour has on mood and well being.
My paper weaving started a couple of years ago when I was doing test prints of some of my abstract photographs. The fine art paper was so lovely and velvety and colours so rich I couldn't throw them away. Later I came back to them and cut one into strips and rearranged them to make a new composition, the rest just followed naturally.
Now I collect material which will allow me to 'paint with paper' and really enjoy watching the patterns and textures develop as the weaving progresses.
