About Nadina Ironia

Nadina Ironia is an Irish-based equestrian artist whose paintings of famous and simply loved horses of all breeds have travelled the world.

“Horses mean the world to me – it’s more than just a job!”

Nadina studied Design in Art College and Communication Sciences in University. It may not sound like it has anything to do with horses, but by doing this she was able to combine her biggest passions – horses and art – into one.
Now she is surrounded by these wonderful animals everyday – in her art, in the yard and at the races…

As a teenager she spent long days helping at her local stud farm. After that she worked as a trainer of young show jumping stock. One lucky day, life brought her to the trotting track.

“I could not believe how beautiful and powerful these horses were flying high above the ground… I simply loved the sound of it, the look and feel of it.

Now those feelings are transferred to my paintings.”

Every piece has its own story. “I don’t paint just horses, I paint their personalities too. I love them all – be it a world record-breaker or a family pet.”

“I was born dreaming of horses. I was painting my dreams as a child… I still do and I strongly believe that dreams do come true!”
