Biography
It's an incredible thing to be able to express your understanding of
this vast universe in pictures, to convey your emotions through
colour and texture.
Painting is a means of expression for
me. I try to use the full range of this medium. My work is often more
abstract than concrete, expressive - even when I paint figurative
paintings.
Painting is for me a vital necessity. It is my
daily air and nourishment.
Painting is my way of telling
my stories, my language for representing the emotions I am filled
with.
I paint passionately and a lot, my life is dedicated
to creating, and in each work I leave a bit of myself, filling at the
same time with the emotions of creation.
The inspiration,
the subject or the subject of my painting can be anything, and this
"anything" is just a pretext for a new painting, a new
composition, a new series. Often the subjects of my series are
abstract concepts such as "Reflections", "Time",
"Shadows", which allow me to tell new stories through
associations, making the viewer co-creator.
I like to
change materials for painting: I first have a passion for
watercolours, then pastels, then acrylics, then I use all materials
at once, experimenting.
Right now I'm in a period of acrylics
and large canvases, but in between large series I like to paint small
pieces on paper in mixed media. This allows me to think about the
next big series and at the same time create quick "masterpieces".
