Biography
Greetings! I am a Chinese artist working and living in Belgium. My art journey started at the age of 5, the Chinese calligraphy was the starting point, and then I moved on to Chinese painting. It has been 30 years since I have been submerged in the world of ink and colour. It was already at a very young age that my abilities were recognised - by the age of 10 I have already been honoured with hundreds of prizes, and my works have traveled internationally. From then on a new and global window opened to me, driving me to seek for creation, cultivating my painting instincts, teaching me to balance between Eastern and Western arts and finding my own voice. I host a streaming channel, where I share my understanding and practice while painting in traditional Chinese styles, exploring the balance between East and West, past and future.
My preferred painting styles are Freehand and Gongbi, focusing mainly on plants, animals, landscapes and portraits, but my interests are never limited to them, as I seek to challenge myself in creations. However, the main underlying theme in my paintings is Zen, a relationship between us and the world around us, a sense of mindfulness. I believe that anyone who has been in the stressful work life will need the joy of a moment of tranquility.
My paintings are all handmade on xuan rice paper and hand mounted (a processing method to enhance the rice paper). Looking for quality authentic oriental brush painting? You have found it!
🎁Art Commission
I enjoy painting pets (cat, dog, chicken, duck, fish, alligator...) and people alike! We can also discuss and design outfits and hair-do to create an Asian feel if you prefer!
