Biography
In a world where being connected becomes the major mode of communication in the relationship with the other, I perceive a great loneliness in the intimacy of each being. This loneliness comes from a fracture between body and mind. The body in this new relationship with the other seems to me devoid of any sensoriality. This feeling brings me back to the education I received where the emotional relationship was only expressed in difficult and negative contexts. Art allows me to find inner freedom, to share the sensations that come with the interpretation of my emotions, without taboos and without an interposed screen. Emotions as existential, universal foods are at the origin of my work. We all feel the same emotions but we interpret them differently. Art allows us to confront our differences and this is what interests me in the relationship with others. My work is experimental and questions through the emotional vehicle, about our reason for being and by projection on our relationship to humanity. This approach is not contemplative, but active The act of painting is at the heart of the dialogue, between body and mind. It allows me to be grounded in the present and to feel alive. My pictorial gesture is the intuitive expression, the most immediate of my bodily sensations. It is expressed energetically by hatching, wave patterns, tasks. This is an element that often catches the attention of those who discover my works. The more the movement is free from all attachment to my thoughts, the more the emotional intensity of the spectator connects to the artwork. Carried by the movement of my hands, of my body, the lines, the shapes, intersect, collide, dialogue with each other, constructing and deconstructing the white space of the canvas. The movement, the air that circulates, the intensity of the energies, the light are dominant elements in my works. Although my environment was always very urban, it seems that unconsciously my interpretation of the emotions is inspired by the natural elements. Man needs disruptive elements to better understand the meaning of things. Emotions are one of these elements. Finally my art would it not seek to give a new light to our consciousnesses, to reach a form of awakening? Kandinsky spoke of spirituality in art. My painting is in line with movement - action painting - abstract expressionism by Joan Mitchell, Willem de Kooning. Why Artfinder ? I had good feedback about Artfinder: seriousness, good selection of artists, very good service both artist and client side.
