A figurative painter working mainly in oils. I began by sketching and painting the human figure, in Life drawing/painting sessions ..Over the years have amassed a fine collection of nude studies and works, which i will showcase on this site.  Primarily the female nude, as no doubt in my mind, God was in a much better mood when she created the female.
 
Since April 2007 I have started the “Wet paintings from The Lowlands” project. Here the intention is to make a painting on location outdoor as frequently as possible. This frequent activity of creating and meditating on art brings me in a flow that supports and develops my creativity. After painting for over 35 years and having always been fascinated by light and composition, the sights of the sea currently is my inspiration. The apparently simple composition of beach, water and sky is time and time again a challenge, and rewarding experience to capture on canvas. On my page will be showcasing both genre works.
