About Irina Bibik-Chkolian

  • Biography
I love watercolor. Its flowing, its freedom, its indomitable temper, its spirit. It flows and draws me. I see it everywhere around me. Thin glazing in classical forms, spontaneous quick colors in the sky, dry brush in the bark of trees and in strained branches. All this I try to transfer to paper. Watercolor is transparent paint. A sheet of paper glows through the paint, which determines the special lightness of these paintings.

    Took part in exhibitions:

    2018 Fabriano in Arte
2017 "Pensamientos de Aqua" Chihuahua, Mexico
    2017 "Art-bridge-watercolor" Saint - Petersburg
2017 "Harmony Through Watercolor" New Delhi

    Event: "Colorful rhythms of Helsinki"

    Dates: 20 Jul 2019 - 22 Aug 2019

Venue: M86 (leisure information center), Moskovskiy 86, St.Petersburg

The works presented at this exhibition are a result of two trips to the beautiful northern city Helsinki. They were completed in May-June 2019. If one wants to see a city of future, this is the right place! Every particle of history is ardently kept safe by the Finns. There are many buildings in the city in Northern Art-nouveau style: solemn and austere, but with playful lines of décor.
But just a few steps from the 19th century low storied houses, and you are in a modern dynamic city, as if coming alive from the drawings of Vesnini brothers. The boldest ideas of constructivism are realized in general residential buildings. The ensemble solutions of modern construction create a unique face of this Northern city.
Coming to Finland, you get immersed in a world of ecological beauty. Сult of nature, naturalness, simplicity and functionality – these are the main features of Scandinavian countries. If you do not interact

    Event: Journey in watercolors

    Dates: 31 Oct 2018 - 30 Nov 2018

Venue: Tutti Qvanti, Radishcheva, 37, Saint-Petersburg, Russia
