"My painting is an invitation, a passage of reaching your intellectual world." Hyunah Kim describes her abstract art as being an enjoyable product of consciousness and unconsciousness. The American painter's central theme is "wonderment". Through her striking pieces, Kim invites the viewer to wonder. Employing a pictorial language based on color, line, shape, and form, she endeavors to create compelling compositions. She paints using acrylics, pencils, and oil pastels on canvas.

    essence of art

    essence of art

I believe that the essence of art is 'play'. Not just 'play', but 'creative play' by internal, subjective, order and aesthetic consciousness. A state of exhilaration that is inherent in every human being, that is, a state of happiness. Sometimes excitingly, sometimes calmly, autonomous and impulsive, I think of it as a work of drawing out the rules in the irregularities and the perfection in the incompleteness from the world beyond consciousness to the world of visible manifestation.

    non-verbal symbols in my paintings

    non-verbal symbols in my paintings

The non-verbal symbols used in my paintings, rather than completing the paintings with my own personal emotions, I made it so that the viewers can inject their emotions into them, so that they can insert their thoughts into the paintings. This is a 'device' that is intended to be completely in contact with the viewer. Etymology: Greek tele (far) + pathos (emotion)
