About Holly Whittaker

I am a UK based artist with a huge passion for the great outdoors. Originally from rural Leicestershire I spent a lot of my childhood exploring local woodlands and going on regular walking holidays with family. Hiking is a great source of inspiration to my work, which is predominantly focused around wildlife and landscapes, and over the years I have become quite the veteran trekker. Trekking gives me the opportunity to take a break from the demands of modern day life and better understand the different natural environments around the world and how we all interconnect. My passions for art and hiking really go hand in hand, and enable me to creatively express how important I feel it is to look after our planet on both a local and global scale.
