    Hello everyone! Wherever you are I hope you are all staying well. Time flies and I am back with the 1st blog post of Nov with some new studio photos which shall give you a better idea of how this artwork looks in real life and I hope you enjoy! 🙂 Greeting to you from me and my studio elf - Cadbury the cat! Featured artwork : Family by Choice - Sulphur-crested Cockatoo 75 x 75 cm By HSIN LIN Artist Acrylic on canvas. Sealed with clear spray varnish. Signed at front, sides painted and ready to hang. Affirmation: Friend is family by choice. Partner is family by choice. And you my dear, you are my family by choice. -We are all different, but we make each other better. - Cockatoos symbolize change and to embrace self-love. They also represent a sense of community and the importance of communication White Cockatoo, one of my favourite Australian Native Birds. Which also inspired me to paint this artwork as an extension of my previous series. Like a year book, featuring all our friends, carrying all kinds of memories. Each bird has different appearance, different personality, and each one of them might remind you of that specific, special friend of yours. To experience the seasons, it has become a routine of mine to paint the first bloom around my surrounding, during its flowering season. This is my fifth depiction of one of my favourite flowers – Protea, the former four had found their forever home, and now you are looking at my latest interpretation of these gorgeous blossoms. Protea flowers - native to Australia and South Africa, symbolized Strength, Courage, and Love. I am especially in love with the story behind the name: In Greek legend, proteas were named after Proteus, the son of Poseidon. A sea god who had the power to know all things past, present, and future. Protea Frosted Fire (Protea neriifolia) produce stunning pink flowers with white feathery tips in winter. The white Protea Niobe (Protea magnifica x laurifolia) has light yellow flowers with trims of soft black, purplish foliage that outline the tips of the petals. Protea also associates to change and transformation, and diversity. The flower always blooms in its own time without competing with other flowers. May we all bloom in our time in the best season.     Featured artwork : Riverview in Wonderland 60.9 x 91.4 x 4 cm Acrylic on pine frame Canvas. *This artwork was featured in Australia Artist's Palette and Creative Artist magazine No.154, 2017 July as an Artist's demonstration by Woodlands Publishing. * Also, this particular artwork is the only piece that is still available amongst all the featured artworks that were included in the magazine. The other 15 had found good homes. Comes with the last edition of the magazine that I collected if you would like to be the collector of this original artwork. This painting was inspired by nature in Warburton, Yarra River, east of Lilydale, on the road to Mount Donna Buang, it was a calm and quiet afternoon and I was fascinated by the view of the golden sunlight shining on the right side of the trees and the glistening river. In a valley between heavily forested mountains, feel the water flow toward you, you are the one who's on your way. Everything you desire is already yours. Water is the start of life, from Feng Shui's point of view, water is also well known as the symbol of fortune. A nonstop, steady river water flows toward you bringing you great luck and financial abundance. A variety of different colourful foliage symbolized the abundance of life.
