About Hirotaka Suzuki

  • Biography
Hirotaka Suzuki was born and raised in Japan and moved to the United States in 1997. He earned his MFA from Claremont Graduate University, CA. In his hand brushed painting, he focuses on transforming issues into surreal expressions to emphasize reality. In other words, he intentionally hides his ideas inside puzzles and expects viewers to discover them in his artwork. These representations derive from everyday occurrences, historical events, and imaginary stories. He both enjoys and suffers during the creative process.
