Biography
After a number of years away from a paintbrush and finishing my Fine Art course, I began painting again in 2012. I paint in a variety of media, oils, acrylic, spray paint, emulsion and even creosote. I'm very impatient and like the immediacy of spray paint, emulsion and stencils but also enjoy the ability to work and manipulate oil. I use lots of white spirit and rags. I loved screen printing at university and would love the opportunity and space to work this way again. My work tends to be on a larger scale, most work is on canvas 1m square. I am influenced by many things from urban/street art, to Rothko and Basquiat, to typography and graphic design - my Instagram account, @henryh1974, will give you a feel for what i like!
