She graduated from Yerevan State University in 1990 and went on to teach chemistry and biology for 23 years. Alongside her teaching career, Hasmik explored her creative side through clothing design, continuously engaging with art and self-expression.

    Five years ago, Hasmik embraced painting as her primary artistic focus, transitioning to a self-taught practice. Her artwork is deeply influenced by her lifelong love of creativity and her journey from education to visual art. Through her self-driven exploration, Hasmik has developed a unique artistic voice that blends her scientific background with her passion for design and visual storytelling.
