About Harry Foy
Biography
My recent work has been done outdoors - plein air - while travelling around Northern Ireland and Donegal. I would say my work is impressionistic in style, done with quality brushes and some pallet knife work to create variety in the marks I make. Sometimes I paint everyday things and not necessarily the most beautiful, asking why that scene is potentially breathtaking and how can I make it more beautiful.
In 2018/19 I was fortunate to be able to travel around Australia by campervan painting but now, due to the pandemic it seems unlikely that country will not open up again for 2 years. I have also painted in France, Italy, New Zealand, Sri Lanka and South East Asia.
