  • Biography
    Hue's studio is situated on the Isle of Wight, UK. In the famous coastal town of Cowes. A popular spot for sailing regattas in the UK.

    Hue studied at University on the Mainland, UK. Gaining a 1st Class degree in Fine Art Painting and Art History in 2001.

    Within a coastal environment of sea and sand, now living on the Isle of Wight, you can see how Island living has influenced the direction of her work.

    Alongside this, a rise in interest from clients for her to revisit portraiture has been gaining ground these past few years. You can commission your own. Select from options provided.

    Mainly painting in oils with the occasional piece painted in acrylics. A range of styles from Seascapes to Abstraction. All with strong colour and gestural brushstrokes. As well as Still Life studies to continue her love for traditional Fine Art.

    Inspiration also comes from a wide range of painters. Klimt, Van Gogh, Degas and Monet.
