Art in the Pen is a well established and highly regarded art and craft fair that runs each year at Skipton Auction Mart. From humble beginnings, the event has developed into what many now consider to be the North's leading art event.
Back in 2005, Art in the Pen started out as a relatively small number of artists transforming cattle pens into galleries to sell their original work. Today, Art in the Pen has flourished into a sprawling event, with an abundance of creativity and craftsmanship at every turn.
The continued success of Art in the Pen is partly down to its relaxed and friendly environment. Event: Art in the Park Leamington Spa

Royal Leamington Spa’s Art in the Park Festival is a free curated arts festival with a difference. We showcase, sell and provide live demonstrations from artists and craftspeople in Warwickshire and the Midlands. We celebrate independent local and regional food and drink. We programme the best live music, dance and theatre from our own doorstep alongside nationally and internationally renowned companies. We do it over 2 days in August in the beautiful surroundings of Jephson Gardens and Mill Gardens.
Art in the Park is a Community Interest Company. We rely on the generosity of our sponsors, the good-spirited nature of our volunteers and the thousands of artists, performers and visitors who take part. My work will be shown alongside the work of 7 other artists and visitors to the gallery will be invited to vote for their favourite. This vote combined with votes from a panel of guest judges will determine which artist will become Surrey Artist of the Year 2016. The winning artist will receive £1,000 grant and support from the New Ashgate to develop a solo show for 2017. The votes will be counted and an announcement will be made on Friday 21st October.

Biography
My name is Hannah Bruce. I am a professional and award-winning artist based in Woking, England.
Since 2002, I have been creating original artwork with mediums such as oils, acrylics, resins, ink, and pastels, and have sold my work all over the world. If you are interested in commissioning me to create something specifically for you then please let me know.
Background
Prior to becoming a professional artist in 2014, I was a Surrey-based teacher of Art and Design for over 13 years. I studied Fine Art and English at the University of Wales and completed my postgraduate certificate in education at the University of Cambridge. I was chairperson for the Woking Art Society from 2015 to 2018 and continue to participate in the committee creating exhibitions and pop-up shop events every year.
I really enjoy painting the outdoors, in particular, the art of plein air painting, which comes from the French “en plein air,” meaning “in the open air.” This practice involves leaving the studio behind and painting landscapes on-site.
I have helped to set up and collaborate with the Surrey Hills Plein Air Painters and have participated in events such as Norfolk and Norwich Paint Outs, Cambridge Paint Out, A Brush with the Broads, Art in the Open Ireland, London Plein Air Warriors, and occasionally with the Wapping Group and Royal Oil Institute friends. I have demonstrated for over five years with the Surrey Contemporary Art Fairs.
I have been an active member of the Family Network Surrey since its inception, winning Business Networker of the Year at a national awards recognition event in Birmingham.
What can I say? I’m a very social person.
